Tactical Carbine Courses
Basic - This is an entry level course geared for those who have had little or no training with the Modern Sporting Rifle (MSR) Carbine. We will cover safety, basic stances, sight alignment, using optics, trigger control, and how to zero your MSR.
Preparatory - This course is designed for shooter who have had some experience or basic MSR training. In this course we will refresh topics covered in the Basic Course. Additionally the student will go through malfunction drills, timed fire accuracy, shooting on the move, and transition shooting.
Intermediate - Review of Basic and Preparatory skill sets with more advanced shooting on the move, barricade, and weak side shooting. A companion semi-automatic handgun will be introduced during this course of instruction.
Advanced - This intense 2-day firearms training course focuses on tactical speed shooting, development of aggressive gun-handling skills and dynamic action while deploying the semi-automatic pistol. The concepts of dominating the weapon, threat, and all visual areas while continuously moving will be emphasized throughout the class. Students will develop reflexive gun-handling skills that will enable them to quickly and efficiently engage threats while performing multiple complex tasks.
Long Range Shooting - This course covers the basic equipment, information, and skills required to successfully engage in practical long-range rifle shooting. It is divided into three sections. The first is about the rifle and gear. The second discusses trajectory and optics selection in depth. The third explains how to put everything together to make hits on targets in the field.
